Brisa Marina sewer network reaches 60% completion
The CESPT project includes 883 meters of pipe, 21 manholes and household connections for a part of the neighborhood that still lacks sewer service.
The Tijuana State Public Services Commission reported on September 30 that construction of a sanitary sewer network in Brisa Marina is 60% complete. Work is concentrated on Los Cristales, Las Golondrinas, Cocona, Loltum, Acatunchen, Coyane, Tolantongo and Zacatón streets in the San Antonio de los Buenos delegation.
The project includes 883 meters of pipe, 21 manholes and 187 sewer connections, according to the state agency. The public procurement record identifies the work as a sewer-network construction project in Brisa Marina and lists a 90-day execution period; that record confirms the project but does not independently measure the completion percentage reported by CESPT.
When the work is finished, families will need to complete the required service contracting to connect their homes to the new network. CESPT said the project serves a section of the neighborhood with an infrastructure deficit and estimated that about 150 families will benefit. The announcement does not give a final completion date or say that connections are active yet.
The public procurement record identifies PROAGUA Urbana funding and an awarded contract for the work. That context separates three stages: the network is under construction, the 60% figure was reported by CESPT, and each home’s connection comes after construction and service contracting are completed.
