Border VAT incentives enter the competitiveness debate
Canaco Mexicali seeks certainty as businesses examine the official framework.
Canaco Mexicali’s president defended the VAT incentive’s role in border competitiveness and called for assessment of its effects and continuation. His September remarks express a business association’s position.
The SAT information site describes an extension through 2026 and provides requirements, notices and eligibility conditions. An incentive’s existence does not mean every transaction or taxpayer in the region automatically qualifies.
