Starting a cooperative begins with shared decisions
Local training opened a discussion about organization and collective enterprise.
A Canacintra and SADER seminar brought together about 70 people to examine cooperative models, organization and business plans. August coverage also highlighted connections among producers.
INAES describes cooperatives as jointly owned enterprises under democratic control. Its principles include equal voting rights in primary cooperatives, so participation is not simply determined by a person’s capital contribution.
